Required Documents

Visa applications should be made at least one month before the intended travel dates. The Consulate is not responsible for being unable to accommodate last-minute applications, nor is it responsible for delays in the issuance of visas. Nationals from the following countries (Afghanistan, North Korea, Lebanon, Libya, South Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Nigeria, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, as well as of the Palestinian Authority and Refugees) require prior consultation with other Member States. In such cases, the analysis of the application can be extended for an additional 7-day period.

Visa fees: 60 Eur (35 Eur for reduced fee) – prices in dollars are subject to monthly change according to the exchange rate.

NO VISA IS NECESSARY if you are a U.S. citizen and will be traveling to Portugal for up to 90 days. However, you will need a valid U.S. passport for at least 3 months from the date of planned return or other travel document recognized by member States of the Schengen Agreement.
